JFK Terminal 4 Protest #NoMuslimBan

Documenting the Resistance Movement

On Friday, January 27, 2017, newly inaugurated President Trump signed an executive order that effectively banned Muslims from seven nations as well as Syrian refugees from entering the United States. The following Saturday and Sunday, as Muslims were detained at various international airports, spontaneous protests sprang up around the country. One of these protests was at JFK International Airport; the Port Authority of New York gave permission to protest organizers to stage a demonstration outside of Terminal 4.

Whether you are opposed to President Trump or not, realize that the thousands of people gathered at this protest stood together for hours in freezing weather on a Saturday night, chanting unselfishly in solidarity with refugees and immigrants they had never met.
